The men of Appleton Community seek to grow in their knowledge of God and dependence upon his sovereign plan for each of us. Through commitment to growth, we seek to train leaders to raise a new generation of Christ followers and enrich our lives in Christ.
To that end, we have some scheduled and impromptu activities to further our desire to trust and know God.
The first Saturday of each month we meet at the Golden Coral for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. where we share a meal and share stories of how God is working in our lives. We on occasion have guest speakers, but encourage men to share their own personal stories.
On Wednesday mornings at 6:00 a.m. we will begin a six week men’s video study titled “Spiritually Happy Men,” led by Patrick Morley. We meet for light breakfast snack (o.k., donuts) and coffee, followed by the study at the church. To get on the e-mail list for this study you can contact Ben Sierra (contact info below).
This fall we are hoping to host a presentation by Kurt Olsen on what Jesus means by “discipleship,” and follow on this by formation of small groups of 3-4 men each to regularly meet to help one another grow and follow Christ.
In February, we look forward to a weekend retreat at Lake Lundgren for great fellowship, strengthening our faith together, rejuvenation and renewed commitment to living and sharing God’s message. This has been a highlight of our year and we hope to see record attendance in 2017.
